Who's behind OpinionZone?
We are a group of researchers who've been studying consumer behavior and preferences for more than 50 years. We formed OpinionZone because we frequently need opinions and new ideas about the products and services you use every day.

Who can join OpinionZone?
OpinionZone panelists must be legal residents of the 50 United States, the District of Columbia, U.S. Military personnel (and their families) with APO/AFO addresses and legal residents of Canada. All panelists must be 18 years of age or older.

Why should I join the OpinionZone panel?
Becoming a panelist gives you the opportunity to earn cash incentives and other rewards. It also allows you to critique current products and services or share ideas for new ones.

Will I be put on a mailing or telemarketing list if I join the panel?
No. We are researchers only - we are not involved with sales in any way. You will not be contacted by a salesperson as a result of participating. Your e-mail address and other information gathered for our research projects will not be shared with any of our clients or any third parties. Will my information and responses be kept confidential?
Yes. Survey responses will be reported as a group summary only, without any connection to individual panelists.

What kinds of topics do your surveys cover?
We research a wide range of topics, such as current events, health care, consumer products and services, and many others.

What are the rewards?
Depending on the project, you'll be offered either a fixed cash amount for completing the survey or you'll be entered into a drawing for a prize, cash, or other incentive. Every survey will include at least a sweepstakes entry.

How will I be selected to respond to a survey?
We try to match panelists with the surveys that fit them best. When a project comes up for people matching your description, we'll add your name to a list. From that list, we'll select a random sample of people and send them invitations.

How often will I be invited?
That depends on the number of projects and active members we have, as well as your characteristics and suitability for particular projects. In any case, we'll try not to invite you more than once a month.

Do I have to respond every time?
While participation in each project is voluntary, we ask that you participate if at all possible when you're invited. And remember, the more you participate, the greater the rewards.

How do I take the surveys?
Our surveys and focus groups are conducted online, so all you need is a computer and an Internet connection.

How do I get started?
Click on the "Join the Panel" section of this site and fill out the questionnaire. After you complete it, you'll be enrolled as an active member - and that means you'll be eligible to receive research invitations.

Can someone else in my family join?
Please do not allow anyone else to respond to research invitations that are intended for you. If friends or other members of your household would like to participate, they can become members themselves by clicking on the "Join the Panel" button on our website. Am I always an active member?
As an OpinionZone panel member, you may choose to be active or inactive. Only active members will be invited to participate in projects. You can change your status from active to inactive by:

• Clicking on the Update Your Status link provided with every survey invitation. You can reactivate your membership later by e-mailing us at update@opinionZone.com.
• Failing to respond to two consecutive research project invitations. You can reactivate your membership by e-mailing us at update@opinionZone.com.

I joined the panel but am not getting any invitations to surveys. What should I do?
We do try to invite every panelist to a survey monthly, but that is not guaranteed. If your email is set up to filter incoming messages, be sure to add support@opinonzone.com to your list of accepted senders so that our invitations are not filtered out.
